Frequently Asked Questions
Below, we’ve put together some questions we get asked by our customers selling their chair lifts to us.
How Much Do You Pay For Stairlifts?
Prices paid on stairlifts can range from a few hundred upwards depending on the model and age of the stair lift.
What Brands Of Stairlifts Do You Buy?
We buy a few brands of used / second hand stairlifts including Thyssen, Acorn, Minivator plus some other brands.
Do You Buy All Types Of Stair Lifts?
We mainly buy back straight stairlifts, this can include stairs with powered or manual hinges at the bottom. We do also buy back the odd curved stair lift depending on the brand.
Can’t I Get More Money Selling Privately?
Absolutely, there’s nothing to hide there! But, do you want the risk of someone else removing it and coming back to you if their stairs were too short or the lift got damaged during transport? We take the hassle and drama out of selling your stairlift, you won’t here from us ever again once we are gone.
Will You Buy Stairlifts That Have a Dead Battery?
Absolutely! If it’s a brand of stairlift we take, then we will simply fit the new batteries when taking it away. Assuming the lift works fine we would happily buy it from you.
What Else Do I Need To Have?
The stairlift has to have the remotes that came with it, we’re not too worried about user manuals or hand winders – but remotes are expensive and do affect the buy back price of a stairlift.
Do You Take Stairlifts That Have Already Been Removed?
Normally not, if a stairlift has been removed there’s a high chance stuff would get damaged including the carriage and rail.
Do You Buy Faulty Stairlifts?
Sometimes we are willing to buy back faulty stairlifts, as long as it’s a brand we are interested in and the price reflected it being faulty.
